Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is relax
Wren is a wellness and lifestyle brand dedicated to improving the well-being of individuals through self-care practices. We aim to reduce the stress of everyday life by providing products and practices that encourage people to take a breather and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
Covid impacted many areas of our lives as we struggled to adjust
to a new norm; the effects of which we are still facing today. Mental health began to decline at a rapid rate as more people reported feeling anxious and depressed. A part of this comes from American work culture which has put significant pressure on individuals to prioritize their work over their wellbeing and mental health. This expectation can lead to intense stress and burnout, which can have a negative impact on one’s mental health. As people increasingly seek ways to maintain their health and wellness in today’s fast-paced world, there is a growing market for a self-care and wellness brand that offers innovative, personalized products and services to help them achieve their goals.
We recognize that in the midst of our fast-paced lives, it’s easy to overlook the simple pleasures of life that bring us joy and comfort. Our brand emphasizes the importance of taking a step back and indulging in some time for oneself, whether it’s reading a book wrapped in a cozy blanket or following a skincare routine. We are committed to providing products and practices that uplift and invigorate our customers’ well-being while reminding them to take time for themselves amidst their busy lives.
Wren releases a seasonal subscription box filled to the brim with products to help our customers improve their overall mental well-being and their environment. The box that is presented is our spring collection, aptly named Tulip Fields
as it uses colors and motifs that reference the beauty
of the flower.
The box includes a coloring book, a standing pencil case with markers and colored pencils, a 520 pc puzzle, black tea Assortment, 2 ceramic travel mugs, organization bins, a citrus-scented candle, 2 candlesticks, and holders, a blanket and informational foldout that turns into a poster.
Going along with the theme of the wren I decided to create a collection of coloring pages dedicated to some fun and outlandish things a wren could potentially nest in as they are known to make anything a home.

The Design
Wren: A small mostly brown singing bird with short rounded wings and a short tail that points upward.
The Wren was chosen as the name and logo for the band due to its nesting habits and its round adorable nature. These birds tend to build their nests in whatever they find. Some items that have been used include but are not limited to, boots, cans, cups, and baskets. This is why the bird sits nicely upon the typography of the brand.
For this brand, I wanted to play off the idea of building a nest to reference the most important aspect of the brand which is to create a comfortable space at home.
I wanted the brand to feel very organic and soft so
I created mandala illustrations that contain a few different motifs of flowers and birds. This is meant to be a decorative asset for the brand that can be used on things like posters and packaging.
